Saturday 31 October
The ‘Light the Night’ outdoor concert and fireworks, in the halls and grounds of St Andrew’s, took place this year on Halloween night, Saturday 31st October. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event happen ... the volunteers who put up the marquees, prepared food, acted as stewards; the band who played all evening; the face painters, balloon artists and comic characters; the fireworks expert; the police and ambulance services; and everyone who came and made the evening so much fun. While this is a free event, this year we gave people the opportunity to make a donation to the refugee crisis through the TEAR Fund charity, and are delighted to have raised over £560 for this worthy cause.

The calm before the storm... The ever popular bouncy castle... Barbecue cooks hard at work...
The band set the tone for a fun evening, the face painters were kept busy, and there were a few surprise guests.
Lots of people came in fancy dress - and not just the children! There were plenty of hot dogs, burgers and tea to be enjoyed before the fireworks lit up the darkness.
Many donated generously to the current refugee crisis through Tear Fund. Thank you all for a total of £560 to bring some relief to the refugees.
